Continuing Education – FVCC Employee Discount Procedure
A 50% discount applies to most Continuing Education classes for all regular FVCC employees, including CE instructors.
- Contact CE before registering to confirm that you are in the FVCC Employees group. Once you are added to the group, the discount will automatically apply to all future eligible courses.
- Register online, by phone, or in the CE Office.
The following classes are excluded due to cost and/or liability considerations:
- Aviation classes
- Wine classes
- Introduction to Outdoor & Nature Photography
- Private Music Instruction & Ensembles
- Ed2Go Online classes
A 100% discount applies to Continuing Education classes designated for HR Professional Development or to classes CE periodically designates to promote attendance and participation. The 100% discount is for Classified Staff, Professional Staff, and Full-Time Faculty and is not available for CE Instructors and Adjunct Faculty.
- Register through SignUpGenius for Continuing Education HR Professional Development classes. CE will add you to the CE class roster. If you have never taken a CE class, CE will also create a profile for you in the course management system and add you to the FVCC Employees Group.
- Watch for designated promotional classes in the weekly employee newsletter. To receive the 100% discount for these classes, register by phone or in person in the CE Office.
Dependents: Up to two dependents of Classified Staff, Professional Staff, and Full-Time Faculty are also eligible for the same discounts according to the above criteria.
- Legal dependents include a spouse and children under the age of 24, as defined by IRS regulations.
- Employees must register their dependents by phone or in person with CE to receive the discount.
- Each dependent may enroll in a maximum of two Kids College classes per summer for the 50% discount. This discount also applies for dependents of Kids College Instructors during the week they are teaching.
