Learn to understand and avoid wilderness hazards and provide emergency care in the wilderness. For an additional fee, obtain NASAR certification by completing the required forms at the end of class for submission by the instructor. Certification is an additional $30, payable in class by cash or check.
ECSI Basic Wilderness First Aid is a blended learning course that introduces
participants to providing emergency care in remote settings where
professional help may be delayed.
Participants will learn to identify, treat, and manage common injuries and illnesses when
medical help may be an hour or more away.
Participants receive an official ECSI BASIC Wilderness First Aid certification card valid
for 2 years, recognized nationwide by the Wilderness Medical Society. Course also
includes the Pocket Guide and all materials utilized in class.
